Youth Cultural Exchange Program in Ireland

In the Republic of Ireland there is no official Au Pair program. However, if you are a citizen of an EFTA country you have the right of free movement and residence in Ireland. This means you can be an Au Pair in Irish host families. Au Pairs from these countries only have to register with the Irish police when they arrive but do not need any work permit to live and work in Ireland.
There is Irish National Au Pair Association in Ireland (INAPA). This organization was formed on a non-commercial basis with the purpose of setting standards for the Au Pair industry and protecting the Au Pair program as a rewarding cultural exchange program.
