Youth Cultural Exchange Program Au Pair in the Netherland

Immigration and Naturalisation Service of Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations is regulated the Au Pair program in the Netherlands. On the basis of the Modern Migration Policy, Au Pair agencies and cultural exchange agencies become the sponsors of an Au Pair or young exchange participant. Agencies have to be authorized as sponsors by the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND). Host families cannot arrange for any young exchange participants without the intervention of an authorized agency.
Sponsors fulfill an important role in the migration policy. Sponsors may submit residency applications on behalf of a foreign national. They can also lodge objections and appeals.
For host families that want to have an Au Pair come to the Netherlands it will only be possible to submit the residence application through an Au Pair Agency.
Besides, there is Branch Organization Netherlands Au Pair Agencies (BONAPA), which sets up the rules of the Au Pair program for Dutch Agencies.
